Covanta recently sponsored the Long Island Regional Envirothon. At the Envirothon, teams of high school students from across the island test their ability to tackle hands-on environmental challenges. Topics included water resource management, as well as aquatics, forestry, soils and wildlife.
Chaminade High School was named overall winner of the competition and will advance to the state competition to compete against schools from New York State. The Covanta Long Island family was proud to support young people interested in topics crucial for protecting our planet!
