Covanta Lake sponsored the Krewe of Girls N Pearls, which participated in the Tampa Children’s Gasparilla, considered the largest children’s event in the country. Makeda Saltal, a training specialist for Covanta, is part of the Krewe, which besides marching in the parade also performs volunteer work for organizations in the Tampa Bay area.
