Reworld™ was proud to once again sponsor the Long Island Regional Envirothon, held at the scenic Usdan Center for the Performing Arts. This inspiring event brought together 33 teams of five high school students from Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Each team spent months preparing to showcase their environmental knowledge and teamwork.
This year’s theme, Roots and Resiliency: Fostering Forest Stewardship in a Canopy of Change, encouraged students to think deeply about the role of forests and the importance of sustainable practices in a changing world.
The competition focused on five subject areas: Aquatics, Forestry, Soils, Wildlife, and a Current Issue that changes each year. The top team from each county will move on to the New York State Envirothon. Each student on the winning teams will receive a $500 scholarship.
