An Extensive Earth Day Cleanup

May 11, 2022

Covanta SEMASS co-sponsored an event with the Rochester Women’s Club and Boy Scouts Troop 31 to assist in the clean-up of public spaces around Rochester, MA. Led by Facility Manager Mark Davis, a crew of 21 SEMASS employees and contractors thoroughly cleaned a heavily littered area along Cranberry Highway and Kings Highway.

Several SEMASS volunteers also took part in the event at the Rochester town center. I&E Tech Mike Gracia cleaned approximately 5 miles of neighborhood roadways while Scale Attendant Joe Barney and his son, James, helped to clean up the Little League field.
