The first ever Green Star Outreach awards were recently handed out to deserving Covanta facilities and employees! The Green Star Awards recognize Covanta facilities and employees for exemplary efforts to educate and support our local communities and organizations. Covanta Pasco was a recipient of the inaugural Green Star award for Long-term Partnerships.
Led by Administrative Assistant Lottie Kelley (above), the facility is critical to numerous charitable organizations in Pasco County. Since joining Covanta in 1995, Lottie has taken on leadership roles on behalf of the facility, in Keep Pasco Beautiful, Pasco County Earth Day, the Nature Coast Envirothon organization, just to name a few. Beyond building these relationships, the facility also provided holiday gifts for children in need this winter. By establishing Covanta within the community, these activities have also helped to showcase the company’s sustainability efforts.
