Covanta SEMASS was honored with a Certificate of Community Service Award by the Southcoast YMCA. The award recognizes the facility for its ongoing efforts to serve the local community, including multiple donations and volunteer efforts with the Gleason YMCA in Wareham. SEMASS sponsored and manned several curbside food distribution and holiday meal programs, as well as making a significant donation directly to the Gleason YMCA from proceeds of the 2021 Covanta SEMASS charity golf tournament.
