Today was an exciting day for Covanta as we had the incredible opportunity to welcome the passionate and knowledgeable Environmental Justice Class from Georgetown Day School to our state-of-the-art Alexandria Facility. It was a pleasure to host such bright and environmentally conscious young minds who are dedicated to making a positive impact on the world around them.
During their visit, the students had the chance to explore our facility and learn firsthand about the innovative technologies we employ to convert waste into clean energy. Our knowledgeable staff guided them through the various stages of our waste-to-energy process, highlighting the importance of reducing waste, recycling, and harnessing the power of renewable energy sources.
The Environmental Justice Class from Georgetown Day School showed an impressive understanding of the environmental challenges we face today and demonstrated a genuine enthusiasm for finding solutions.
