Reworld™ employees recently came together to take part in the global #ServeDay in collaboration with Union Church. Over 4,000 members participated at 350 sites across four different states including Maryland, Virigina, North Carolina, and Washington D.C. While in Fairfax, Virginia, volunteering took place at a local family shelter, picking up trash, cleaning the kitchen, helping serve food, organizing the food pantry, sorting donations and organized the closet, and swept, and mopped the common areas.
#ServeDay provides churches across the world with opportunities to serve their local communities, and to showcase the importance of serving others.
Community Outreach Specialist Carolyn Cruz recounts "seeing the smiles and nods of appreciation from the residents. Each of us left feeling so fulfilled on Saturday, and several people shared their gratitude for being of service to others in need."
